Ink by Aly Rinehart
Rice paper, unfold
Brush tip dipped in pool of night
Smooth stroke along the page,
a cold, black kiss upon pale lips
Slow, a memory revealed
in the writing of a name
I'll also be reading this at tonight's gathering at our local bar, Foster's. Which brings me to today's shout out - to fellow poet and published author and new teacher at my college, Mary Stone Dockery. Find her on Facebook, and if you're from our neck of the woods, please join us tonight! If not, at least check out her new book, Mythology of Touch (I bought it, I love it!).
Got a favorite poem, or wrote one of your own? I'd love to read it! Leave it in a comment or email and I may feature it here!
